New Home Construction Inspection Services

We are here to ensure that building your dream home doesn’t turn into a nightmare!

It is beyond important to have your own independent inspector monitoring the quality of your new home! While builders typically have the best intentions, they are under a lot of pressure to deliver, especially with Real Estate inventory being so low! Builders have multiple points of Quality Control, however these individuals are employed by the Builder, and ultimately will put the Builder’s interest first.

Choosing to have your own independent inspections completed not only ensures that you have a Champion in your corner, but it lets your builder know quality always comes first!

Construction Phase Inspections

Phase 1 – Foundation

Making sure your home gets started off on the right foot is paramount!

North Texas is well known for soil conditions making home foundations very susceptible for shifting. We will work to identify and eliminate any shifty building practices, minimizing your concerns for years to come!

Primary Focus:

  • Site Preparation
  • Footings and Trench Preparation
  • Grading for Drainage
  • Plumbing and Sewer Connections

Phase 2 – Structure

This is the best opportunity to evaluate the framed structure of the home. Before any exterior coverings are in place, potentially hiding substandard work.

This inspection primarily focuses on:

  • Evaluating the construction methods used to properly transfer the dead and live loads of the house to the foundation.
  • Ensuring the materials used are the appropriate type/size for the construction method
  • Identifying any deficient areas of the frame being attached to the foundation.

Phase 3 – Pre-Drywall/Sheetrock

This inspection is completed once all of the electrical, plumbing lines, and HVAC are installed, but before the interior walls are closed and covered.

Given the opportunity we highly advise this inspection as it is the only time all of the walls will be open. This inspection focuses:

  • Ensuring electrical system is properly installed and adequately protected
  • Confirm that any Gas system is properly installed and bonded to prevent Arc-Flashing
  • Evaluating the construction methods used to properly transfer the dead and live loads of the house to the foundation.
  • Examining exterior coverings, windows, and sealant points to ensure proper installation.

Final and 11-Month Builder Warranty Inspections
